Community First.

Empowerment.

Anti-Oppressive Focus.

Togetherness.

Project Corazón partners with local leaders in impoverished areas to strengthen their capacity and support them in creating the changes that are most important to their community. We are proud to partner with Misión Esperanza in their work for youth leadership and community well-being in the Dominican Republic. Together, we embrace meaningful partnership, honoring community wisdom every step of the way.

A donation to Project Corazón helps us to support leaders of all ages at Misión Esperanza.

Our Partnership Model

We believe deeply in supporting the wisdom and expertise of local leaders. Rooted in community context, they know best about their community’s priority challenges and are those best positioned to guide solutions. As an organization based in the United States, it is our responsibility to take a supportive stance and listen to expertise of community-driven initiatives around the world. With our partner team model, we support groups of community leaders in the community-driven projects, capacity building, and connections that are most important to them.

Community-Driven Projects

We work collaboratively to address the challenges that communities feel are priority in areas of basic needs, education, health, economic empowerment, youth and community development.

Capacity Building

We provide training and guidance in areas that community leaders feel are most important for their leadership and program growth.

Connecting Community

We build networks of community and leadership by fostering meaningful relationships between community leaders of all ages and communities around the world.
