Your generous donations help us to fund our mission to partner with local leaders in impoverished communities around the world to strengthen their capacity and support them in creating the changes that are most important to their community.
We allocate 70% of our funds community-driven charitable projects, 10% to capacity building efforts, and 5% to connecting community. 15% of donations go towards the costs that keep Project Corazón running (i.e. PO box, website, accounting fees, etc.). If you have any questions about what this looks like, we’d be delighted to talk more how we’ve allocated these percentages and why.
We ensure that all donations are used in pursuit of our mission and tax-exempt status and, as such, we maintain the authority to determine how funds are allocated. However, we know that our donors are passionate people that may have specific wishes about how their funds are used (for example, allocated to a specific project or service).
